Ștefan Pop
Ștefan Pop (born in Bistrița in 1987) is a Romanian operatic tenor. He has won several prizes including, in 2010, Placido Domingo's Operalia competition〔 and the Seoul International Music Competition.〔http://musicalworld.com/artists/stefan-pop/〕
He trained at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, graduating in 2010.〔
Pop made his international operatic debut at Rome in December 2009 as Alfredo in ''La Traviata'',〔http://www.bolshoi.ru/en/persons/people/2496/〕 a part he has subsequently sung in several opera houses both inside and outside Italy, including Frankfurt and Geneva.〔http://www.hamburgische-staatsoper.de/_biografien/bio_neu.php?id=5324〕
In 2011 he took the part of Elvino in ''La Sonnambula'' at the Vienna State Opera.〔
